D-Mites v. Andover

The D-Mites had an incredible game against Andover on Monday, December 27th.  A sudden roster change earlier in the week left the D-Mite team with only 9 skaters, presenting a sizable challenge for the season ahead.  On this night, the kids made Andover work hard for their victory.  Andover scored less than a minute into the first period.  This made the Vikings even more determined that they were not going to give this game away.  A picture perfect pass from Ben Henderson to Louis Kastenbauer in front of Andover’s net put the Vikings on the board halfway into the first period.  By the end of the first period, Andover had found our net again bringing them up 2 to 1.  Despite being extremely tired and skating against a team with 16 team members, they managed to hold Andover off for the entire second and third periods. Goaltender Randy Hoff had 28 saves and the Vikings defense had a stellar game.  The Vikings next game is on January 9th vs. Elk River at the Elk River Barn.
