The North Branch Area Hockey Association (NBAHA) conducted its annual membership meeting on Thursday, March 30. Along with a report on the status of the multi-purpose arena effort that has gained momentum thisyear, each year the meeting includes board member elections and disbursement of gambling revenue. This year, NBAHA made disbursements totaling $80,000 thanks to the successful charitable gambling operations at JJ's Bowl (North Branch), Big Daddy's (Harris), and Wild River (Almelund). This year's disbursement recipients include:
$500 - Let's Go Fishing (senior citizen organization)
$1000 - Youth Service Bureau
$1000 - North Branch Public Library
$1500 - North Branch Senior All-Night Party
$2000 - John Pinsonneault Scholarship Fund
$4000 - North Branch High School Hockey Program
$70,000 - City of North Branch - Multi-purpose arena fund
NBAHA would like to thank the residents and businesses in North Branch and the surrounding communities for supporting NBAHA and our charitable gambling operations.
NBAHA Board Elections
A bylaw change was voted on, which added a new Mite Director position to the NBAHA board. Following the membership's acceptance of the bylaw change, Craig Moline was voted in as the Mite Director. The Vice President and Treasurer positions were not up for election this year.
