North Branch Area Hockey Association will be hosting a booth at the Community Halloween Party on Thursday Night.

The Halloween Party is held by Bearly Big Gymnastics and sponsored by local businesses.  The party will be held this year in the SNAP fitness parking lot and parking for guests is in the Horizon Bank Parking lot. 

We will be setting up at 4:30 pm. The event is from 5 to 8 pm. The kids will be spinning the Hockey Puck Prize Wheel at our booth. We will also be handing out business cards advertising the $40 A and B Mite deal and trying to recruit more kids for the Mite program.

We need 2 volunteers for each of the following times:

5 to 6 pm:

Would your employer be interested in contributing a silent or live auction item for our Power Play fundraising event next Saturday? Do you make a craft that you would be willing to donate as a silent auction item?

Area businesses have been contacted for sponsorships of the event and contributions for the silent and live auction or prizes. We are still in need of many more donations to make the event a huge success. Even if you don’t work in the area, your employer may be willing to donate money or items that will help raise funds to build an arena in North Branch.

A few ideas:

Do you quilt, crochet blankets, stamp or scrapbook, make candles, do bead work, build bird houses, or any number of things? Do you have Wild, Timberwolves, Gopher tickets, etc that you would be willing to donate? Do you own your own business and have products you would be willing to donate, such as Tastefully Simple, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Party Lite, etc? Are you willing to donate an item or two to the association for the silent auction?

If you work in a service industry such as a restaurant, beauty salon or gas station, maybe a gift certificate could be donated by your employer. If you work at a large corporation, maybe they have promotional items they can donate or event tickets. If your employer manufactures products, maybe a product donation could be made.

It only takes a couple minutes of your time and a little courage to ask for a donation. The benefit of taking the time could bring the association closer to providing an arena in the North Branch for our kids.

Pickup orders at the Shack on Thursday, 10/2 from 6:30 to 8 pm. A Truckload Sale will also be occuring during this time period. 10 to 15% comes back to association. Invite your friends and neighbors!

Raffle Ticket Turn In @ Shack
If you chose to sell Raffle tickets for the mandatory fundraise, turn in tickets and money collected at the Shack on Thursday, 10/2 from between 6:30 and 8 pm.

New families - The Shack is located south of the High School in North Branch by the outdoor arena.

Remember to check the calendar often as changes to the schedule could occur. All teams are starting practice immediately following Coaches tryouts and some teams are starting practices as soon as this Friday night, 9/26.
